Glossary
Blockchain: A decentralized, distributed digital ledger that records transactions across multiple computers to ensure transparency, security, and immutability.
Solana (SOL): A high-performance blockchain known for its low transaction costs and high throughput. SOL is the native cryptocurrency of the Solana blockchain, used to pay for transaction fees and interact with decentralized applications (dApps).
Smart Contract: A self-executing contract with terms directly written into code. Smart contracts run on blockchains, enabling decentralized, trustless agreements without intermediaries.
Canvas (Grid): In the context of Expanding Space, the canvas is an infinite, black grid that represents the ever-expanding universe. It’s organized in a coordinate system starting at (0,0) and expands indefinitely in all directions.
Celestial Element: A digital representation of a cosmic entity, such as a star, planet, galaxy, black hole, or nebula, that spawns on the canvas based on SOL transaction amounts.
Spawn Event: The creation of a celestial element triggered by a transaction in SOL. Each event places an element on the canvas at a specific coordinate according to pre-defined probability ranges.
Big Bang Event: A random cosmic event in Expanding Space that mimics the concept of a real cosmic explosion, causing a burst of new celestial elements on the canvas.
Teleportation: A feature that allows users to navigate directly to specific celestial elements on the canvas, either by selecting a transaction or searching for a transaction ID or wallet address.
Circular Expansion: A growth model for the canvas where elements appear in circular layers, starting from the center point and expanding outward as each radius fills with new elements.
Probability Range: The assigned likelihood of spawning a particular type of celestial element based on the SOL value of a transaction.
